ChipFIX Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the repair services provided by ChipFIX ("Company") to you ("Client").
1.Service and Disclaimer: The company is an independent service centre/provider for Laptops and MacBooks and is not authorized by the original equipment manufacturer(s). 2.Service Job Sheet: Upon delivery of the device ("Device") for repairs, the Client will receive a Service Job Sheet ("Job Sheet") in hard copy or electronic format. The client must verify the accuracy of the information on the Job Sheet. Job Sheet Acceptance: By accepting the Job Sheet, the Client acknowledges agreement with all Terms and Conditions. 3.Repair Estimates and Authorization: Repair prices quoted are estimates based on initial information or visual examination. The actual repair cost may be higher. In such cases, the Company will contact the Client via SMS/WhatsApp/Email/Phone for authorization of a revised repair quote before proceeding. Diagnosis and Motherboard Repair Fee: A minimum fee of ₹1000/- may be charged for diagnosis and attempted repairs of motherboard-related issues. This fee is applicable even if the Client decides to abandon the repair due to any reason, including parts unavailability, repair time, or the Device being deemed unrepairable after best efforts by Company technicians. 4.Non-Repairable Devices and Return Policy: The Company may not be able to repair the Device due to extensive damage or parts unavailability. The client agrees to a reasonable timeframe for parts acquisition. If parts remain unavailable, the Company will return the Device. Submitting the Device does not guarantee a successful repair. 5.Repeated Issues and Additional Repairs: If the Device exhibits recurring issues previously diagnosed/repaired by the Company, but the new problem is unrelated to the prior repair, the Company will offer consultation to assist the Client in making informed decisions about further repairs and associated costs. The client's authorization is required before proceeding with additional repairs. Only one attempt (ONCE) to re-repair the Device is covered under the warranty after the initial/first-time repair at ChipFIX for the given issue(s). Newly reported issues or extended issues are considered fresh cases and shall be treated accordingly. Refunds & Compensations: If the same issue re-occurs after the initial repair and does not get resolved even after the re-repair (ONCE) as mentioned this clause, the Company may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund for the service charges and/or faulty parts (if any) installed by the Company, following a thorough evaluation of the Device. No refunds in any other circumstances shall be offered. No compensation towards loss or damage in case the client does not claim/collect the device within 7 working days of concluded repairs communication by the company. 6.Risk Acknowledgment and Limitation of Liability: The client acknowledges the inherent risks associated with repairs, including the possibility of permanent/partial device damage/dents/breakage or absolute non-repairability. The company may send the device to an external repair setup or may involve external technicians or experts for repairs of the client’s device. Client agrees to hold Company, its promoters, and employees harmless from any legal actions/prosecutions arising from repairs. No compensations towards any damages can be requested by the client towards the same. 7.Replaced Parts: Defective parts replaced during repairs will not be returned to the Client. All parts replaced during the repair process become the sole property of ChipFIX upon removal from the Device. Client acknowledges that replaced parts may be used for various purposes, including recycling, disposal, or incorporation into other repair projects at ChipFIX's sole discretion. 8.Data Backup: The client is responsible for backing up data before submitting the Device. The company will make every effort to preserve data; however, the Company is not liable for data loss or misuse. 9.Device Collection and Storage: The client must collect the Device within 7 days. After 7 days, the Company shall not be responsible for the Device or any loss or damage. The Acknowledgement Slip must be presented to collect the Device at the time of pickup/delivery. Recovery of Outstanding: The Company may sell the device to recover the outstanding/cost towards the repairs. The client/owner shall lose its rights to the device after the expiry of the mentioned collection period. The maximum wait time is one month in case the client confirms in writing a genuine reason for the delay in collection and collects the device within the extended wait period. However, the liabilities of the company shall remain intact as per the 7-day collection period mentioned in this clause. 10.Warranties and Guarantees by the device manufacturers: The Company recommends the manufacturer’s authorised service centres for any repairs for Devices under existing manufacturer warranties/guarantees. Providing a Device for repairs at ChipFIX is at the discretion of the Client. The Company is not liable for warranty/guarantee-related issues arising from repairs that may affect the relationship between the Client and the warranty/guarantee provider. Warranty on Repairs: If the Device malfunctions within the Company's warranty period, the Client must present the Device with a copy of the receipt or Job Sheet number. The company will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If the issue is related to the Company's repairs, the Company will perform a free repair and return the Device at no additional cost. Warranty Period and Voiding Conditions: Resubmitting the Device for re-repairs of the same issue will not extend the total warranty period mentioned in the first/initial repairs. The warranty on previous repairs is void if: The client uses another service centre for repairs. The service seal is found missing or tampered with. If the Device presents with new issues, the company reserves the sole discretion to determine warranty continuation on previous repairs under such conditions. Third-Party Hardware and Software: The warranty/guarantee towards third-party hardware and software is as per the terms and conditions of the original manufacture of the product. The Company is not responsible for any short service or warranty/guarantee-related issues. 11.Payment Terms: The company may request a partial advance payment towards repairs before commencing work. The client agrees to provide such payment upon request. Payments must be made via UPI or bank transfer only. Cash payments are accepted only at the ChipFIX centre. No Cash payment facility at the client’s location. Delivery: For Device delivery at the client’s location, the entire outstanding payment must be cleared before the Device leaves the Company premises. Device release is contingent upon payment confirmation by the Company's bank. 12.Change in Terms and Conditions: The Company retain its right to change the terms and conditions from time to time and as per requirements.
